Daniel is an entrepreneur based in New York City. The last company he started was acquired by Twitter, where he co-founded the New York engineering office and was the most senior engineering leader.
Daniel has also worked at Venrock, one of the oldest venture capitalist firms in New York, where he served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence. He's actively involved as an advisor to startups in New York, including Pixable (acquired by Singtel) and Piictu (acquired by Betaworks). Daniel is a board member of BASE (Bronx Academy of Software Engineering) and serves as an advisor for FirstRound's Dorm Room Fund.
Before Twitter and Venrock, Daniel worked for four years at the Google New York office where he was a Tech Lead in the Search Quality team. While at Google he co-founded the Structured Data group, made significant contributions to Google Book Search, Search Infrastructure and Search Quality and filed over 6 patents in the areas of Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
He holds a Master and two Bachelors from MIT where he received over 5 awards for academic excellence.
